Darlene was a very loving, beautiful, caring, outgoing, wonderful woman in the world. She was married to the most wonderful man on earth. She had 2 beautiful children and 2 beautiful grandchildren. Darlene was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and friend. You could always count on her to be there when you needed her the most. She went on Dialysis May 1, 2006. Thats the day that all of our lives changed. Then one day she was reading about home hemo dialysis and she did some research and wanted to do it. She was very determined to do it. The clinic were she went to work on it so she could come home. I(carrie) and Marlene was trained for 8 weeks. I devoted my time to take care of my mother so she could be at home to be with her family. Darlene was the first person in south central louisiana to come home on home hemo dialysis, which was very wonderful. By her doing so, she inspired so many people in her clinic and surrounding clinics to go home on dialysis. Darlene was an inspiration to alot of people. She is my hero, my mother, my best friend and our beautiful angel.
